I mentioned that Patrick had gotten into some gum. Next morning he wakes up with (TMI!!!) really really bad diarrhea. I started panicking that he was sick from the gum and looked up all the symptoms for xylitol poisoning. Runny poo is NOT one of the symptoms and he wasn’t exhibiting any others: fatigue, hypoglycemia, bad coordination, vomiting, etc. So my next guess was that the liver treat he had the night before was too rich. That seems to be the case. I fed him brown rice for the rest of the day and he is back to normal. Brown rice = awesome! I think Patrick’s mission is to see how many times I can race him to vet needlessly.

I’m glad Patrick is okay. I had never heard that about the sugar free gum. Will have to check it out online. Luckily I don’t usually keep any around. BTW, love the last picture. Adorable!
OOOOOH, I had the runny poos day before yesterday. I got bland food too, then my human took away a tasty baby bird I had snatched from the other dogs. She carried me to the trash can, held me over the can and made me drop it (it was already dead). At 3.5 pounds, my predatory instincts remain intact.

So glad it wasn’t the gum. Thanks for the info about that. I will have to remember brown rice in the future-if and when I get another doggy! Love the photo shoot! Bless them!

Ooowee! Sorry Patrick had a belly ache. I am sorry to say that I have had that nasty poo poo too. It makes my little hiney hurt. Feel better Patrick.
